NORTHERN BERKSHIRE NEIGHBORS (NBN) is a neighborhood development program of the Northern Berkshire Community Coalition.

OUR MISSION is to promote community building by bringing together neighborhood residents of all ages to discover and capitalize upon the potential and resources that exist in their communities and neighborhoods.

OUR GOAL is to create greater citizen awareness of how active participation in one's neighborhoood and community events contributes to one's personal health and to the health of the community.

  OUR HISTORY
NBN emerged in the summer of 1993 in response to the promising potential of neighbors to come together to address issues that affect the everyday lives of families and children where they live.

NEIGHBORHOOD GROUPS include Amity Square, Blackinton Neighbors Association, Brayton Hill, Freeman Park, Greylock Housing Coalition, Greylock Neighbors, Kemp Park, Mohawk Forest, The Neighborhood Connection, UNO (United Neighborhood Organization), and Florida Neighbors.

PROGRAMS include Community Organizing/Neighborhood Development, Public Health Incentive Grants, Leadership Development & Education, Community Recognition Awards, The Neighborhood EXPO, Neighborhood Summits, Community Collaboration, and Neighborhood/Community Events.
