Pedal and Wrench NA Bike Collective

Monday, July 1


The Armory, 206 Ashland St., North Adams (look for the garage doors in the back)

Bring your own bike or work on a bike at the bike collective. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from other community members on basic bike fixes, or team up with more experienced bike mechanics to rebuild a bike. Tools and stands are provided. Beacon Recovery Community Center Open Hours

Tuesdays July 2,9,16,23,30 from 5-7:00pm

Wednesdays, July 3,10,17,24,31 from 10am - 2:00pm

NEW Hours! The Beacon Recovery Community Center is a program of Northern Berkshire Community Coalition (nbCC) and provides peer support to those seeking recovery from addiction. BRCC is a peer led effort that offers support groups, connections to networks that can assist anyone seeking recovery, and opportunities to socialize with others. Northern Berkshire Bocce League

Sundays, July 7, 21 from 11am - 1pm.

Summer Neighborhood Basketball

Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in July, Starting July 9


A non-competitive basketball league for 9-13 and 14-17 year olds. Games are played at various neighborhoods in North Adams. Transportation provided. For more info, or to sign up, call Liz Boland at (413) 663-7588.


Starry Night Movies at UNO Park

UNO Park Lawn

In collaboration with Mass MoCA, the UNO Community Center will be hosting two FREE outdoor movie events this summer. The first is an all time favorite: SPACE JAM! The festivities start at 6pm; a 3 point basketball shoot out, lawn games, face painting, and more! Movie will begin at 8:30pm. Bring pillows, blankets, and low back chairs to take in this 90's classic under a starry night for the first time on the UNO Park lawn. Bring a picnic or enjoy some good eats from K's Creamery who will be on site.  Free popcorn will be provided during the movie. Save the Date for Hidden Figures on August 16th.


Arts and Craft at The Family Place: Under the Sea

Trekking Pole Demo and Guided Walks

DIY Beeswax Wraps

FREE Zero-Waste Workshop Series - Every year 300 million tons of plastic are thrown away. This natural alternative reduces the need to use single-use, non-recyclable plastic wrap. Healthy Meals, Happy Kids Workshop

1,2,3 Magic Workshops-2 part series

Learn how to discipline your child age 2-12 years old without arguing, yelling, or physical discipline. Get easy to follow step-by-step instruction to manage troublesome behavior with reason, patience, and compassion and learn how to encourage and respect children's growing independence with strategies for growing self-esteem. DIY Yogurt Workshop

FREE Working on Wellbeing Workshop - Learn the basics of making yogurt at home. It’s incredibly easy, tastes good and saves $$! Summer Playground Program

Starting 7/8, Monday to Friday 9am to 12pm

UNO Community Center, 157 River St., North Adams

Free. The UNO Summer Playground Program is a drop in style program for youth. Staff are on site to encourage recreational play among UNO and Houghton Park attendees. This year, a free lunch will be provided by the North Adams Public Schools USDA Summer Food Service Program to any youth (under the age of 18). Gardening Program at the UNO Community Center Gardens

Saturday mornings at 10am

There is an exciting new development at the UNO Gardens! nbCC is offering a community gardening program with local green thumb extraordinaire Jen Muñoz! The group convenes first at the River Street gardens across from The Porches at 9am. Then they move down the street to the UNO gardens at 10. 4-H Wacky STEAMsters Club

7/9 and 7/23, 4 - 5:30pm

The 4-H Wacky STEAMsters are a fun filled STEAM group (ages 5-18). We tackle it all! From physics, to beadmaking, to breaking down scientific principles with fun, user-friendly, hands-on experiments. We meet through the summer months; this year’s focus will be on river maintenance and hiking! We are also planning two group field trips... at no charge! Healthy snacks provided. Parents are welcomed and encouraged! No drop off hours available. Option to register as an official member of 4-H and participate in other local groups and events.
