Northern Berkshire Community Coalition
Organizing and supporting the Northern Berkshire community for over 33 years!
MASS in MOTION (MiM) is a statewide initiative that promotes healthy eating and active living in the places people live, work, learn and play through policy, systemic, environmental and behavior change. Mass in Motion focuses on increasing access to healthier foods at key food access points, as well as working to create an environment that makes physical activity for recreation and transportation the easy choice.
OUR MISSION is to work together with the community to help lower rates of obesity and related chronic diseases, such as hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease, in north Berkshire and to make healthy living a priority.
OUR GOAL is to educate the community on local strategies to lead a healthy lifestyle, increase healthier options in local food pantries, meal sites and convenient stores and local restaurants, make more of our streets walkable and bikeable and create an environment that promotes healthy aging.
