Pedal and Wrench NA Bike Collective

Monday, February 4

5:00-7:00pm

The Armory, 206 Ashland St., North Adams (look for the garage doors in the back)

Bring your own bike or work on a bike at the bike collective. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from other community members on basic bike fixes, or team up with more experienced bike mechanics to rebuild a bike. Learn the basics of growing food (and how easy it is) in your home, year-round! This workshop will focus on on growing microgreens in your home. Growing your own food is easy, reduces cost of living (saving you money), feels rewarding, and greatly improves the taste and quality of your food. nbCC's Monthly Forum – Starting a Conversation – Gentrification in North Berkshire

Join us for this conversation and tell us what your hopes, fears, ideas and visions are for North Berkshire. The goals of this forum are: 1) Assess our individual and community hopes and fears as development and change happen; 2) Define and introduce the general idea of "gentrification": Does this apply to North Berkshire?; 3) Sort fact from fiction: "What's really going on in North Berkshire?" DIY Beeswax Wraps FREE Working on Well-being Workshop Series

Workshop led by local volunteer and sustainability advocate, Mary Stucklen. Every year 300 million tons of plastic are thrown away. This natural alternative reduces the need to use single-use, non-recyclable plastic wrap. Bring your own favorite fabric or old cotton t-shirt that you love to create a wrap that is unique to you! Family Fun Day - Let’s Skate!!!

nbCC’s The Family Place and the City of North Adams are offering FREE ice-skating for all families with children. Snacks, hot beverages and ice skates are provided at no cost. Planning Your Vegetable Garden - FREE Working on Well-being Workshop Series

nbCC’s Teen Writing Workshop Showcase

Local teens will read powerful, original works that they have crafted throughout this year’s 20-week Teen Writing Workshop. All are welcome. Free of charge. nbCC feels strongly that Teen Writing Workshop participants should deliver unfiltered, unchanged works. For this reason, some material may not be suitable for children under the age of 14.
